Dahlia Fetouh appointed Deputy General Counsel

Congratulations to Dahlia Fetouh on her appointment as Deputy General Counsel earlier this year.

Dahlia joined MIT in 2016 after spending over 13 years at Goodwin Procter as a business litigator. Dahlia’s practice at MIT over the past 5 years has been focused primarily on litigation and legal advice on a wide variety of matters, including student life, intellectual property, and employment benefits.  She has provided advice to a number of Institute committees and working groups, including working on our Covid-19 response, and works closely with our Risk Management and Compliance Services office.  Dahlia was instrumental in helping two undergraduate students return to MIT after President Trump’s executive order on immigration, for which she won an Infinite Mile Award.  She is a graduate of Princeton University and New York University Law School.

Dahlia will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the OGC and supporting the Vice President and General Counsel in his duties.  The members of the OGC are excited about this new chapter, and we are confident that Dahlia will thrive in her new role.
