Richelle Nessralla

Counsel

Richelle Nessralla joined MIT in September 2004. She served as Associate Counsel until July 2010, when she was appointed Counsel. As Counsel, Ms. Nessralla handles a wide variety of transactions on behalf of MIT, including research and educational collaborations, international matters of all types, and complex gift transactions.  She also works on matters related to MIT’s business affairs, corporate governance and legal compliance.  She is a member of MIT’s International Coordinating Committee and International Emergency Response Team. 

Prior to MIT, Ms. Nessralla was Director of Development at The Boston Foundation, a philanthropic foundation focused on providing grants to non-profit organizations in the Greater Boston area. Ms. Nessralla previously practiced law at the firm of Hill & Barlow in the firm’s corporate department. Ms. Nessralla focused on representation of private companies, venture capital transactions and mergers and acquisitions.  She was a member of the firm’s hiring committee and active in pro bono matters.

Ms. Nessralla graduated from Harvard College in 1994 and received her J.D. from the Northeastern University School of Law in 1998.  She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and the Boston Bar Association.
