Karlelisa Wesley

Paralegal

Karlelisa Wesley joined MIT's Office of the General Counsel as a paralegal in March 2023. She works primarily with OGC's transactional attorneys and the Institutional Compliance Officer.

Prior to joining MIT, Ms. Wesley worked as a corporate paralegal handling corporate governance and investment law at John Hancock. She previously worked as a legal and financial assistant supporting attorneys in litigation, tax and employment law in the Office of the General Counsel at Harvard University; as a paralegal at the law firm Ropes & Gray; and at several financial institutions.

Ms. Wesley received her Master's degree in Legal Studies with a concentration in Business Law from Northeastern University, her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, with Honors Magna Cum Laude, from Fisher College, her Associate's degree in Accounting from Fisher College and her Paralegal Certificate from Boston University.
