Paralegal

Karlelisa Wesley joined MIT's Office of the General Counsel as a paralegal in March 2023, working primarily with the transactional attorneys and compliance services.

Prior to joining MIT, Ms. Wesley worked as a corporate paralegal handling corporate governance and investment law, a legal assistant supporting attorneys in litigation, tax and employment law, in accounting, in finance and in bank operations at several financial institutions, an international law firm and a university including John Hancock, the Office of the General Counsel for Harvard University, Brigthouse Financial, Ropes & Gray LLC and Bank of America.

Ms. Wesley received her Paralegal Certificate from Boston University, Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Fisher College with HONORS Magna Cum Laude, and Associates degree in Accounting from Fisher College. She is currently attending Northeastern University School of Law to obtain her Masters in Legal Studies with a concentration in business law.
