MIT Responds to Congressional Inquiry

In late March, MIT responded to a congressional inquiry regarding its endowment.
 

The Office of the General Counsel was involved in MIT’s efforts to respond to a congressional inquiry concerning MIT’s endowment, including its management and use. The inquiry, sent by the Honorable Orrin G. Hatch, the Honorable Kevin P. Brady and the Honorable Peter J. Roskam was sent to 56 U.S. colleges and universities with endowments of more than $1 billion.  MIT’s response was sent by President Rafael Reif on March 31, 2016.  You will find the response here.
